What is eCampus?
eCampus is a unique Web-based campus community groupware designed specifically for educational institutions. On eCampus, an entire community of students, faculty, administrators, and alumni, can collaborate and interact with one another, while sharing and authoring community contents that make up everyone's university life.
We have chosen eCampus to host and deliver the Walden eCampus and with it, the return of Walden email accounts for all students.
Each student (and Faculty member) will receive a Walden eCampus account accessed through single sign from the PSP. The customizable dashboard provides access to University and community announcements, Walden email, and links to the other personal tools available within the eCampus. These tools include: tasks, calendars, online file storage, contacts, bookmarks, stored images and the PeerNet Profile tool.
PeerNet is a networking tool specifically designed for the Walden MBA program (though available to all) which allows students and faculty to create searchable profiles containing relevant academic and professional information. Every field within PeerNet can be toggled between public and private to ensure privacy.
Portal accounts, with an associated email address have been created for everyone in the. The naming convention for the portal accounts are: firstname.lastname, and the email addresses are: firstname.lastname@waldenu.edu. All legacy Faculty email will be forwarded to the new addresses.
